One Wisconsin Now Statements on NRA's Product Placement Infomercial

'Every American Should Be Outraged at NRA's Use of Newtown Massacre to Sell More of Its Product,' Says One Wisconsin Now

Madison -- One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross released the following statements in response to the National Rifle Association press conference in which Wayne LaPierre called for putting guns in our schools.

"After using its might to put as many guns on our streets as possible, the NRA has now turned the Newtown massacre of children into a product placement infomercial and every American should be outraged. Wayne LaPierre and the NRA say that 'gun' isn't a four-letter-word, but the word 'Gun$' is. This is the embodiment of the leaders of the NRA: profit from the selling of as many guns, automatic weapons and bullets as possible, and use its power to ensure the proliferation of weapons continues unabated and unchecked."
