OWN Welcomes New Communications Director - 5/5/2008
Milwaukee — One Wisconsin Now announced the addition of Andrea Gage to the statewide organization’s Milwaukee office. She will serve as the organization’s Communications Director.
“Andrea has a wealth of experience and we are fortunate to add her to our team,” said One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross. “Andrea’s strategic and technological skills make her uniquely qualified to support our mission of advancing progressive ideas, policies and values.”
Prior to joining One Wisconsin Now, Andrea worked in media relations for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and its advocacy arm, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin. She pioneered the use of podcasting and digital video for the nonprofit organization.
Andrea also has an extensive background in journalism, having worked as both a TV reporter and producer in Eau Claire, Wis.; Greenville, S.C.; Columbus, Ga.; and Madison, Wis. Her first news article was published in the Detroit Free Press at the age of 18.
Andrea is the chair of the Media Relations Committee for the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University.
