It's bad enough discrimination has been written into Wisconsin's constitution.
Now, a lawyer from a respected Wisconsin law firm is working side-by-side with right-wing evangelist James Dobson's Alliance Defense Fund here in Wisconsin to defend the notorious anti-family ban on domestic partners and same-sex unions. Worse yet, Whyte, Hirschboeck and Dudek attorney Amy Salberg said in a press release that "Activists shouldn't put children at risk in order to pursue their own selfish desires."
These kind of statements cannot go unanswered. Call Whyte, Hirschboeck and Dudek and tell them if James Dobson wants to promote hate in Wisconsin, he can do it without the help of a Wisconsin law firm.
Call 414-273-2100 and tell Whyte, Hirschboeck and Dudek to drop the case.
If you're ready to make calls, here are a couple of tips:
1. Call 414-273-2100 now and ask to leave a message about their attorney's work with James Dobson and the Alliance Defense Fund.
2. Be polite but firm. Remember, we're the ones fighting discrimination!
3. If you want to leave a message with more detail, please feel free to use the talking points listed below.
4. Again, be polite, but firm!
Talking Points
1. The Alliance Defense Fund's ultimate goal is to see the law and government of the United States ruled instilled with ultra-conservative, pro-life, and vehemently anti-gay principles.
2. The constitution of Wisconsin was written to protect rights, not take them away.
3. Amy Salberg, a lawyer from Whyte, Hirschboeck Dudek working with the Alliance Defend Fund, fanned the flames of homophobia by invoking a perceived threat to children if the gay marriage ban was overturned--"Activists shouldn't put children at risk to pursue their own selfish desires."
4. Whyte, Hirschboeck and Dudek should not have an attorney working on a case that would take away the rights of tens of thousands of Wisconsinites.
5. Remember, call 414-273-2100 right now and make your voice heard on this important issue!
