Peace Action Wisconsin First Annual Run/Walk for Peace Peace Action Mission Statement: We are a peace and justice organization which works for a world where human needs are met, the environment is preserved, and the threats of war and nuclear weapons have been abolished. For the benefit of the Peace Education Project of Peace Action Wisconsin we are holding a 5-K Race at the Root River Parkway at Whitnall Park Sunday October 19th 2008. Registration 7:30-8:30am Picnic Area #1. Race starts 9am. Fee: $20 per runner/walker until Tuesday October14th. $25 from Wednesday October 15th through Sunday October 19th. Children 9 and under are free. Prizes awarded!!! Multiple drawings!!! T-Shirts!!! Bring picnic fixins and stay for a picnic lunch in one of the 3 picnic areas available.
